Blue/Green Deployment Automation

This use case implements a blue/green deployment strategy to minimize downtime and risk during application releases. The orchestration engine manages two identical environments—one active (blue) and one idle (green). New versions are deployed to the green environment, validated, and then traffic is switched over seamlessly, ensuring uninterrupted service availability.

How It Works:

  1. Deploy New Version
    The green environment receives the new version.

  2. Validation
    Automated tests and monitoring validate the new deployment.

  3. Decision Point
    If validation is successful, traffic is rerouted from the blue to the green environment.

  4. Fallback
    If tests fail, the system maintains the blue environment as active while issues are resolved.
